That unfortunately did not happen and DICE producers told the fans that they were being assigned to work on other projects outside of Star Wars. When EA and DICE made the decision to shut down work on the current version fans were hopeful that soon we would be getting an announcement of a third installment of the Battlefront series. The love of Battlefront 2 has created multiple communities and social media outlets which has lasted over three years.
It is so successful that even though updates on the games have ceased there are still new players joining the online platform of the game. But that all changed and it turned into one of the most successful Star Wars games ever. It’s no secret that Star Wars Battlefront 2 came with some controversy after it initial launch.
